Step 3: Coordinate Appraisal
The appraisal confirms the value of the home for the buyer and lender. Staying informed helps you anticipate potential issues and prepare your buyer.
Ask buyer to avoid attending appraisal unless required.
Track appraisal order and scheduled date directly with the lender.
Request updates on timing and completion status.
- Ensure the Appraiser has received the CBS code and/or approval to schedule the appraisal from the listing agent
- Buyers should not attend the appraisal unless instructed.
- Follow up if scheduling takes longer than expected.
- Prepare negotiation plans in case of low appraisal.
